Founders unveil new vision for ethical educational counselling
Haamid Mufti, Aijaz Ul Qayoom launch Premier Educational Consultancy
SRINAGAR: Despite heavy rainfall and a last-minute change of venue, PLANET e – Premier Educational Consultancy was formally inaugurated today in Srinagar. The ceremony, originally scheduled at Tagore Hall, had to be shifted to the corporate office of PLANET e at 3rd Floor, La Regal Building, Regal Chowk, after severe waterlogging rendered the parking area of Tagore Hall inaccessible.
The inaugural ceremony was originally to be presided over by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir, Professor Nilofar Khan, who had graciously accepted the invitation as Chief Guest. However, due to the inclement weather, the event could not be held at the scheduled venue. Under the leadership of founders Haamid Mufti and Aijaz Ul Qayoom, the programme was successfully shifted to the consultancy’s office premises.
The formal inauguration was performed by Mr. Masarat Hashim, Deputy Labour Commissioner (Central), in the presence of an eminent gathering of senior government officers, educationists, doctors, entrepreneurs, students and parents. Among those present were Mr. Qazi Irfan (RTO Kashmir), Mr. Shahnawaz Shah (Deputy Commissioner, Sales Tax), Mr. Reyaz Ahmad Shah (Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes), Mr. Sajad Khaliq Bhat (SSP Security, Kashmir), Dr. Naveed Nazir Shah, Dr. Irshad Tabasum, Mr. Iftikhar Bashir, Mr. Lateef Masoodi, Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam, Mr. Ashfaq Zahgeer, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad and Mr. Riaz Ahmad, besides several other distinguished guests.
The dignitaries congratulated Haamid Mufti and Aijaz Ul Qayoom for launching an institution dedicated to ethical, transparent and research-based educational counselling. They observed that students require honest guidance based on merit and aspirations rather than commercial interests and expressed confidence that PLANET e would become a trusted destination for higher education counselling.
Addressing the gathering, Haamid Mufti, Founder of PLANET e, said the consultancy has been established to provide student-centric career guidance based on integrity, research and professional ethics. He emphasised that every student deserves accurate information and genuine counselling before making life-changing educational decisions.
Co-Founder Aijaz Ul Qayoom stated that PLANET e carefully evaluates every university before recommending it to students, considering academic standards, infrastructure, student safety, hostel facilities and career prospects. He added that the consultancy is committed to helping deserving students secure scholarships, fee waivers and financial assistance through reputed institutions in India and abroad.
The founders also highlighted PLANET e’s emphasis on psychometric assessment, parent counselling and continued support in admissions, documentation, visas, education loans and post-admission services, ensuring comprehensive guidance throughout a student’s academic journey.
Haamid Mufti and Aijaz Ul Qayoom expressed gratitude to Professor Nilofar Khan for accepting the invitation to inaugurate the institution and thanked Mr. Masarat Hashim for formally inaugurating PLANET e. They also appreciated all the dignitaries and guests who attended despite the adverse weather.
