Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday expressed grief over the sad demise of veteran political leader Dr. Mustafa Kamal.
In a condolence message, the Lieutenant Governor said, “I am deeply saddened by the news of veteran leader Dr. Mustafa Kamal’s passing away. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, well-wishers, and admirers. Om Shanti!”
The Chief Minister’s Office expressed their heartfelt condolences to the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, on the passing of his uncle, Dr Mustafa Kamal.
Dr Mustafa Kamal, a former Minister and senior leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, passed away after a brief illness at a private hospital here.
Dr Kamal was the son of the legendary leader and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, and the brother of former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah.
The officers and staff of the Chief Minister’s Office expressed profound grief over the demise of Dr Kamal and conveyed their deepest sympathies to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the entire bereaved family.
They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and wished strength and fortitude to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
