HAJIN: Government M.L. Higher Secondary School (HSS) Hajin lifted the CRPF Under-19 Football Championship after defeating Higher Secondary School Prang in the final of the tournament organised by the 45 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Sports Ground Madwan, Hajin, on Saturday.
The two-day tournament, organised as part of the CRPF’s civic outreach programme to promote sportsmanship and constructive youth engagement, witnessed the participation of eight teams representing different educational institutions from the area.
Government M.L. Higher Secondary School Hajin outclassed HSS Prang in the final to emerge as champions.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Second-in-Command 45bn CRPF Dharmendra Yadav as the chief guest.Senior CRPF officers were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharmendra Yadav underscored the importance of sports in shaping the character of young people and said such initiatives promote discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition while strengthening the relationship between the security forces and the local community. He added that the tournament also provided a valuable platform for young players to showcase their sporting talent.
