Police attach two properties in narcotics case

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached two properties worth nearly Rs 12 crore in the Baghat area here, officials said on Tuesday.
Officials from Batamaloo police station attached the properties under Section 68F(1) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act after it was established that they were acquired illegally.
The officials said one house and adjoining land measuring nearly 20,000 square feet belonging to the accused Shabir Ahmad Mir were attached at Rawathpora Baghat. The house and land are estimated to be worth Rs 9.30 crore.
Another house worth Rs 2.60 crore, belonging to the accused Afshan Jan, was also attached, the officials said.
