Pulwama: Thousands of people on Tuesday participated in the funeral prayers of slain Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) commander, Noor Muhammad Tantray in Darganaie Gund village of Aripal tehsil in Pulwama district.
The funeral payers for Tantray were held at a local ground in which thousands of mourners from various parts of the town participated.
Although the entry and exit points were sealed with barbed wires amid heavy deployment of forces across the area, people defied the restrictions to reach slain militant’s native village.
Pertinently, Tantray was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Samboora village of Pampore township late Monday night.
