SRINAGAR: Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth on Wednesday visited the famous Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar, paid obeisance, and hailed Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi for the reconstruction and beautification project at the shrine, describing the development undertaken by the Board over the past four years as “very impressive.”
The Union Minister took a tour of the campus and appreciated the extensive development works carried out at the shrine. Speaking at a special event held outside the shrine, Seth said that in the land of knowledge and spirituality, Dargah Hazratbal holds great significance, and the reconstruction and redevelopment of the shrine by the Waqf Board under the leadership of Dr Andrabi is commendable.
“The message of our spirituality in Kashmir is the guiding force for peace and lasting harmony in Kashmir,” the Union Minister said.
Dr Andrabi briefed the Union Minister about the developmental plan of the Waqf Board across Jammu and Kashmir and thanked him for sparing time to visit Dargah Hazratbal.
Among those who accompanied Sanjay Seth were BJP State Vice President Rakesh Mahajan, BJP State General Secretary Anwar Khan, State Spokesperson Er. Sahil Bashir Bhat, State Secretary Arif Raja, and State Spokesperson Manzoor Bhat.
