Amarnath Yatra: IGP reviews security and logistical arrangements at Baltal Base Camp

Srinagar: In a proactive move to ensure the successful conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi-IPS, along with DIG Central Kashmir Range Rajiv Pandey-IPS and SSP Ganderbal Sudhanshu Dhama-IPS, visited the Baltal Base Camp to assess the progress of security and logistical preparations.
During their visit, the senior officers examined various facilities established for Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel involved in the Yatra. They reviewed the security infrastructure, accommodation arrangements, communication setups, and other essential services to ensure readiness.
IGP Kashmir highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among all agencies and stakeholders to guarantee a safe, secure, and smooth pilgrimage experience. He directed the officials to uphold the highest standards of preparedness and complete all arrangements in a timely manner ahead of the Yatra’s start.
The police department remains fully committed to providing a secure environment and facilitating the seamless conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, reaffirming its dedication to the safety and well-being of pilgrims.
