SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Mohammad Umar Farooq paid rich tributes to the third Caliph of Islam, Ameer-ul-Momineen Uthman ibn Affan (RA), on the occasion of his martyrdom anniversary.
Describing him as an embodiment of knowledge and righteous action, forbearance and modesty, integrity and trustworthiness, courage and generosity, the Mirwaiz said that his unparalleled services to Islam, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and the Holy Qur’an remain unforgettable and continue to inspire generations of Muslims.
The Mirwaiz stated that among the noble Companions of the Prophet (SAW), Hazrat Uthman Ghani (RA) occupies a unique and distinguished position due to his elevated status, exceptional virtues, and remarkable contributions to the cause of Islam. He noted that Hazrat Uthman (RA) was honoured by the Prophet(SAW) with the unique titles of Dhul-Nurayn (the Possessor of Two Lights), Dhul-Hijratayn (the Possessor of Two Migrations), and Dhul-Busharatayn (the Recipient of Two Glad Tidings)—an honour unmatched by any other Companion.
Emphasizing the significance of the occasion, the Mirwaiz urged Muslims to renew their commitment to following the exemplary life and noble teachings of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, particularly Hazrat Uthman Ghani (RA). He said that Muslims should strive to incorporate his values and principles into their personal and collective lives.
