NEW YORK: FIFA on Wednesday unveiled the final squad lists for the upcoming World Cup, set to be hosted by the USA, Mexico and Canada.
A total of 1248 players across the 48 teams have been officially announced, with 357 having prior World Cup experience.
There will be seven players above the age of 40 at the World Cup.
Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon, 43, will be the oldest player this time out. He is also the second-oldest to head to a World Cup, after Egyptian shot-stopper Essam El Hadary, who was 45 at Russia 2018.
Among outfield players, Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, is the oldest in 2026.
