Indian Wushu officials get key roles in South Asian Wushu Federation

SRINAGAR: Several Indian wushu officials have been appointed to key positions within the South Asian Wushu Federation (SAWF), including an “A” Grade International Judge who will serve as Head of the Referees and Judges Commission, with a stated focus on technically strengthening the South Asian region and elevating SAWF to the highest standards.
The official, who holds the top grade for international judging, said his primary focus would be to enhance technical standards across the region and bring SAWF to world-class levels in the shortest possible time.
The office bearers of the Wushu Association of India congratulated the duo on their remarkable accomplishments and wished them success in their new assignments.
Earlier, Suhel Ahmed was selected as Executive Board Member of the South Asian Wushu Federation and also appointed as Head of the Constitutional Committee of SAWF. Additionally, Sudershan and Shamboo Seth were elected as members of the Constitutional Committee and Traditional Committee of SAWF respectively.
The appointments are expected to give India a stronger voice in the governance and technical development of wushu in the South Asian region.
