Srinagar: In a significant crackdown against drug trafficking, Srinagar Police have attached properties valued at approximately ₹6 crore belonging to three notorious drug peddlers as part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.” The action underscores the law enforcement’s resolve to combat narcotics-related activities and dismantle illegal assets accumulated through drug trade.
Under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Police Station Khanyar executed the seizure of three immovable properties along with one vehicle linked to the accused individuals. The operation was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, targeting assets believed to be acquired through proceeds of narcotics trafficking.
Details of the seized assets:
Nazir Ahmad Mir (@ Nazir Lashkari): Resident of Koolipora Khanyar, Mir’s property—comprising a double-storeyed residential house and eight shops on 4.5 marlas of land at Koolipora—was attached. The property is estimated to be worth around ₹3.2 crore. It was linked to FIR No. 08/2020 under sections 8/20 NDPS.
Gulzar Ahmad Mir: From Baghi Roop Singh, Miskeen Bagh, Gulzar Ahmad Mir’s assets include a Scorpio vehicle (Registration No. JK01AW-8898), valued at roughly ₹20 lakh, and immovable property comprising seven marlas of land and a temporary structure on it. The combined estimated value is approximately ₹1.8 crore. These assets are associated with FIR No. 08/2026 under sections 8/21/29 NDPS.

Authorities have confirmed that these assets were illegally acquired through narcotics trafficking and drug peddling, representing a significant step in disrupting the financial backbone of the drug network in the region.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police reiterated its commitment to eradicating the drug menace from society. “We will continue to take stringent action against drug peddlers and confiscate illegally acquired assets as part of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan,” a police spokesperson stated.
This crackdown is part of a broader effort to eliminate narcotics from Jammu & Kashmir, aiming to protect the youth and restore peace in the region.
