Anantnag: Government forces on Saturday started a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Bijebehara area of Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
An official said that CASO was launched after receiving “specific inputs” about the presence of militants in the area.
Forces in large numbers have been deployed in and around the Small Scale Industries Corporation (SICOP) area, said a witness.
Search operation was going on when reports last came in.
