Multi-lakh rupee govt job scamĀ

Srinagar: The Special Crime Wing Kashmir of the Crime Branch J&K has submitted a chargesheet before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar in FIR No. 09/2019, accusing Fayaz Ahmad Khan, Showkat Ahmad Shah, and Owais Ahmad Rather of orchestrating a multi-lakh rupee government job scam.
The chargesheet pertains to offenses under Sections 201, 419, 420, 468, 471, and 120-B of the RPC, following an in-depth investigation into allegations of fraud and forgery, the probe body said in a statement issued here.
The case was initiated after residents of Pulwama filed a complaint stating that the accused had fraudulently collected lakhs of rupees by promising government jobs for their children and relatives. Investigations uncovered that the accused, in criminal conspiracy, impersonated influential officials and issued forged appointment orders supposedly from the Forest Department, which were later confirmed to be fake. Payments were reportedly made in cash under the pretext of securing “backdoor entry” into government jobs.
The chargesheet has been presented before the court for judicial proceedings.
The public is urged to stay vigilant and report any such fraudulent activities directly to SSP SCW Kashmir (Crime Branch J&K). Victims of such scams can also send their complaints via email at ss*******@**********ov.in to aid in further action.
