BANDIPORA: On the occasion of World Book Day, PM Shiri Government Secondary School Laharwalpora organized a meaningful and intellectually enriching session for its students, featuring a telephonic address by renowned scholar, author, and thinker, Dr Maroof Shah.
In his inspiring interaction, Dr Shah urged students to cultivate the habit of writing a diary every day, emphasizing that consistent reflection sharpens thought, deepens understanding, and nurtures creativity. Highlighting the transformative power of reading, he remarked that books serve as gateways to wisdom, enabling students to engage with the greatest minds across time and space.
“Reading provides students with invaluable opportunities to meet and learn from the great thinkers of the world,” Dr Shah said, while encouraging learners to adopt reading as a lifelong habit. Quoting eminent scholars and writers, he stressed that achieving meaningful goals in life is closely linked with disciplined and purposeful book reading.
Earlier, the Head of Institution, Mr. Javaid Jawad, formally introduced the guest speaker, describing Dr Maroof Shah as a distinguished intellectual, celebrated author, and a proud son of the soil whose contributions continue to inspire generations.
