Hails initiative of Bilaliya Educational Institutions, Khimber
SRINAGAR: On the occasion of Earth Day 2026, Baba Nazrul Islam, President of the Private Schools’ Association of Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK), participated in a lavender plantation drive launched by Director of School Education Kashmir, Naseer Ahmad Wani, at Bilaliya Educational Institutions in Khimber, Srinagar. The event was hosted by Manzoor Waganoo.
The programme witnessed the presence of noted psychiatrist Prof. Mustaq Margoob and prominent environmental activist Raja Muzaffar Bhat, who appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of ecological responsibility.
The plantation drive, led by the private education sector, was widely hailed as a significant step towards promoting environmental awareness and sustainability within the educational ecosystem of Jammu and Kashmir.
