Association leadership reaffirms commitment to educational excellence
SRINAGAR: In an unprecedented and landmark development in the history of PSAJK, the Shopian district successfully conducted its elections, marking the formation of a well-organized and structured district chapter of the Association.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of schools, reflecting a strong commitment to democratic values and collective representation within the district.
The Election Commission was led by eminent environmental lawyer Advocate Nadeem Qadri, with Mr. Majid Butt serving as a member of the Commission. The process was further strengthened by the presence of observers, including Mr. Tahir wagey, District President Srinagar, Mr Tariq Balli State coordinator PSAJK and Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam, State President PSAJK.
The elections were also observed by representatives from the office of the CEO Shopian, along with a representative from the Bar of Shopian, ensuring transparency and credibility in the proceedings.
In a unanimous decision, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Malik was elected to lead the district and will represent Shopian in PSAJK along with executive members.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Nazrul Islam, President PSAJK, welcomed the government’s decision to once again the Fee Fixation Committee under the leadership of the upright Justice Hali. He noted that, on the very first day of assuming office, Justice Hali reinforced the mandatory constitution of parental committees for all institutions across Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring greater transparency and accountability in the education sector.
Meanwhile, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Malik, the newly elected District Head, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all member schools for reposing their trust and confidence in his leadership. He assured the members of his commitment to serve the district with dedication and integrity.
It was reiterated that Mr. Malik will lead the association in strengthening educational standards, promoting a holistic education policy, and working towards achieving broader educational goals for the district.
