Srinagar: Continuing their crackdown on those involved in disrupting a recent student protest at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, J&K Police in Sopore have arrested five additional miscreants during night-long raids.
The miscreants had infiltrated a peaceful student demonstration and caused law and order disturbances, including acts of vandalism that resulted in damage to public property. Sopore Police remain committed to taking swift and targeted action against all individuals involved. In addition, 13 more suspects have been identified, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend them at the earliest. The search operations will continue until all such elements are brought to justice.
J&K Police emphasize that they will not allow anyone to exploit sensitive situations to disturb public peace. Those involved in creating disorder will face strict lawful action, with no exceptions. The police also appreciate the continued cooperation and support from the people of Sopore in maintaining peace and order.
