Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday paid rich tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.
In his message, the Chief Minister described Dr Ambedkar as a visionary leader, social reformer, and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.
“Dr. Ambedkar’s lifelong struggle for social justice, equality and the upliftment of marginalized sections continues to inspire generations,” Omar said. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s invaluable contribution in laying the foundation of a democratic and inclusive India based on the principles of liberty, equality and fraternity.
The Chief Minister called upon the people, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and work towards building a just and equitable society.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive development, the CM said that the true tribute to Dr. Ambedkar lies in upholding his vision of social justice and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor said: “On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, I extend my greetings and best wishes to all. Babasaheb stands as a transformative architect of India’s social and national ethos. A tireless advocate for the oppressed, he devoted his life to eradicate social and economic inequities. His enduring vision continues to illuminate paths of hope and inspiration. On this day, let us pledge unwavering commitment to his principles and build a united, just, and compassionate society rooted in mutual trust and brotherhood.”
