Srinagar: After the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) called for protests against US decision on Friday, the authorities on Thursday placed Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house detention.
“Just Placed under #HouseArrest as Joint Resistance Leadership(JRL) and Mutahida Majlis Ulema(MMU) call for Protests all across #Kashmir tomorrow after #FridayPrayers against the US decision to declare #AlQudsAlSharief (Jerusalem) as the capital of Israel,” Mirwaiz wrote on Twitter.
