SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference MLAs Shameema Firdous and Ahsan Pardesi have urged the administration to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the upcoming Urs observances of revered saints Hazrat Zain-ud-Dindar Wali (Zaindar Sahib) ( RA) and Hazrat Dawood Reshi (RA).
The annual Urs will be observed at the shrines located in Tankipora and Batamaloo, drawing a large number of devotees from across the region.
The MLAs emphasized the need for adequate facilities, including proper sanitation, uninterrupted water and electricity supply, traffic regulation and deployment of medical teams to cater to the expected influx of pilgrims. They also called for enhanced security measures and crowd management to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the spiritual observances.
Highlighting the spiritual and cultural significance of these Urs celebrations, the duo urged the administration to act proactively and coordinate with all relevant departments to facilitate devotees and uphold the sanctity of the occasions.
