Discusses wide range of issues; several decisions taken
SRINAGAR: Apni Party on Thursday held a crucial meeting to review and assess preparations for the upcoming organisational elections of office bearers. The meeting was convened presided over by the party’s Returning Officer, Abdul Majid Padder. All district presidents from the Kashmir province were present, while the party’s Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir, General Secretary, Rafi Ahmad Mir, and Provincial President, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, were specially invited to attend.
According to a press release issued here, the meeting was aimed at reviewing the preparations for the upcoming organisational elections, which are expected to be conducted in May and June.
On this occasion, the party’s Returning Officer, Abdul Majid Padder, along with other senior leaders, urged the district presidents to ensure that the scheduled polls for the election of party office-bearers are conducted in a smooth and transparent manner. They also urged district-level leaders to expedite the process of completing voter lists at the block, zonal, and district levels by the deadline of 30 April 2026. During the meeting, a wide range of issues pertaining to the party elections were deliberated upon. Several key decisions were taken, which will be implemented in due course to facilitate the smooth and transparent conduct of the elections.
Besides Abdul Majeed Padder, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Rafi Ahmad Mir, and Mohammad Ashraf Mir, the other prominent leaders who were present in the meeting included District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor, District President Srinagar Mohammad Shafi Mir, District President Ganderbal Javaid Mir, District President Anantnag Mufti Sarwar, District President Baramulla Shabir Ahmad Shah, District President Shopian Advocate GowherWani, District President Budgam Advocate Owais Ashraf Shah, District President Pulwama Dr. Samiullah, District President Badnipora Syed Shafat Kazmi, and others.
