SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Women’s Wing President and MLA Habba Kadal Shameema Firdous on Tuesday inaugurated the Syed Mehar Ali Khan Park at Baghiyas, Chatabal, developed at a cost of ₹20 lakh. The park has been equipped with various facilities for children, offering a safe and vibrant recreational space for local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Shameema reiterated her unwavering commitment to public service. She emphasized that despite numerous challenges, she remains dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the people by creating accessible public spaces that provide relaxation and recreation. She also informed that the community hall currently under construction in the area will soon be completed and dedicated to the public.
MLA Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi inaugurated an over-head water tank at Tulsi Bagh. The project, initiated in 2024, has been completed at a cost of ₹178.16 lakh and has a storage capacity of 70,000 gallons.
The scheme is expected to benefit around 2,000 residents by ensuring access to safe and potable drinking water.
Both initiatives highlight the ongoing efforts to improve civic amenities and infrastructure for the residents of Srinagar.
