Extends Women’s Day greetings
SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference President Women’s Wing and MLA Habbakadal extended her warm greetings to the women on International Women’s Day.
She said that the day celebrates the strength, resilience, and invaluable role of women in shaping society. She emphasized that empowering women and ensuring equal opportunities are essential for building a progressive and just society. Adv. Shameem Firdous reaffirmed her commitment to continue working for the welfare, empowerment, and greater participation of women in all spheres of life.
Meanwhile, Sabiya Qadri, Provincial President Women’s Wing Kashmir of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, also extended her heartfelt greetings to the women of Jammu & Kashmir on the occasion. She said that International Women’s Day serves as a reminder of the strength, courage, and valuable contributions of women in society, and highlighted the importance of empowerment, equality, and providing greater opportunities for women. She reaffirmed the Women’s Wing’s commitment to working tirelessly for the upliftment and empowerment of women across the region.
Both leaders also paid rich tributes to Begum Akbar Jehan Abdullah, remembering her remarkable contributions toward the empowerment of women and her role in social and political awakening in Jammu & Kashmir. They said that Begum Sahiba’s life remains an inspiration for generations of women, and her dedication to public service continues to guide the efforts of the Women’s Wing in strengthening the voice and participation of women in society.
