Bandipora: The District Police Bandipora on Tuesday issued a public advisory urging residents to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order across the district.
In the advisory, people have been asked to refrain from any activity that could disturb public peace or vitiate the harmonious atmosphere. The police have also warned against acts of vandalism, rioting or any form of disruption.
Residents were further advised to avoid posting, sharing or forwarding objectionable, inflammatory or unwanted content on social media platforms, stating that such acts could create unrest and panic among the public.
The police cautioned that any violation of the advisory would invite strict legal action under relevant provisions of law.
“Let us work together to ensure a peaceful and secure Bandipora. Remain vigilant and prioritise peace,” the advisory read.
