BANDIPORA:The football tournament organised by Bandipora Police under the Civic Action Programme (CAP)–2026 concluded successfully at Sports Stadium, Hajin on Friday.
The final match was played between SSA Hajin and Real Soccer FC, in which SSA Hajin emerged victorious by defeating Real Soccer FC by 2–1 to lift the championship trophy. A large gathering of spectators witnessed the final match and enthusiastically encouraged the players.
The closing ceremony was attended by SSP Bandipora Aijaz Ahmad Zargar; SDPO Sumbal Nawaz Ahmad Khanday; DySP SOG Hajin Amit Khajuria; Principal GHSS Hajin Mehboob Ahmad; SHO Police Station Hajin Mir Saleem. The winning and runner-up teams were awarded trophies, medals, and cash prizes. Mir Amaan was awarded the “Man of the Tournament” trophy, while Shahid Ahmad was adjudged the “Man of the Match” for the final encounter.
Speaking on the occasion, the SSP Bandipora said that such sports events play a vital role in promoting a healthy sports culture among the youth and strengthening police–public relations. He added that the police will continue to organise sports and community outreach activities to engage youth in positive pursuits and keep them away from drugs and other social evils.
