HAJIN: The Army’s Manasbal Rashtriya Rifles Battalion on Saturday organised the Sehat-e-Bakshibal Camp at Bakhchibal village in Hajin tehsil of Bandipora district to provide basic health facilities to people residing in rural areas.

A large number of locals, including children and the elderly, visited the camp and consulted doctors. The genuine medical needs of the people were addressed, and free medical advice along with medicines was provided to the attendees.

Teams of Army doctors, doctors from CRPF, and staff from CHC Hajin provided treatment to patients from different areas that lack adequate medical facilities. The medical teams also educated the general public about the prevention of various lifestyle diseases and the importance of regular health check-ups.

The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from residents of nearby villages, with many expressing their gratitude for the services provided.

Abdul Ahad, a villager who attended the camp, told Kashmir Reader, “We are from a poor village. I got a body check-up and was given medicines. I am extremely grateful to the Army.”

Villagers appreciated the initiative and suggested that such medical camps should be organised regularly for the benefit of the community.

On the occasion, Rahat Health, an initiative supported by the Indian Army, also distributed sanitary napkins free of cost during the camp to promote menstrual hygiene and women’s health awareness.
