Dar-ul-Khair extends relief to fire-affected families in Nowhatta

SRINAGAR: Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil, Srinagar, has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating fire incident in the densely populated area of Shahampora, Nowhatta, where nearly a dozen houses were destroyed, causing significant loss of property.

On behalf of its patron, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, heartfelt sympathy and solidarity have been conveyed to the affected families, with emphasis on their urgent rehabilitation.

A Dar-ul-Khair delegation led by Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon distributed essential relief material among 17 affected families. The team will also visit fire-affected families in Chattabal, Srinagar, on 11 February 2026 with further relief assistance, Insha’Allah.

The organization has urged people to exercise caution in the use of electrical appliances and heating devices during winter to prevent such incidents. Dar-ul-Khair reiterated its continued commitment to relief and rehabilitation work for all affected people, without discrimination, and appealed to philanthropists to extend their support so these humanitarian efforts may continue.
