Lauds ministers, party legislators for proactive public outreach
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar on Wednesday expressed deep appreciation for the proactive role played by Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in effectively dealing with the weather exigencies caused by heavy snowfall across the Kashmir Valley and the snow-bound areas of the Jammu division.
Sagar in a statement issued from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha commended the Chief Minister for personally overseeing the administrative response to the challenges arising from the severe snowfall, ensuring timely and coordinated measures to mitigate hardships faced by the people.
He lauded the government’s efforts in maintaining uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, including ration and LPG, speedy clearance of roads, and continued availability of basic utility services such as electricity and potable water to consumers across affected regions.
He said that the Chief Minister’s close monitoring and on-ground assessment of the situation helped galvanize the administration into swift action, providing much-needed relief to residents during difficult weather conditions.
Sagar also appreciated the Hon’ble Ministers, party legislators for their hands-on approach and active outreach to the people in their respective constituencies, particularly those grappling with post-snowfall predicaments. He said their constant engagement and coordination with the administration played a crucial role in addressing local issues and ensuring prompt assistance to affected families.
While acknowledging the significant progress made in restoring normalcy, the Sagar pointed out that certain remote and interior areas are yet to be fully cleared of snow and face road connectivity challenges.
