Srinagar: An encounter has started between government forces and militants in Pulwama village of south Kashmir on Monday evening.
As per preliminary reports two Hizb militants Sameer Tiger and Waseem Ilyas Babar are trapped.
A police official said that a joint team of army’s 44 RR, SOG and CRPF following a specific information cordoned off village Kandi Aglar.
Soon after the joint team intensified the searches, the hiding militants opened fire triggering off an encounter.
When reports last came in the intermittent exchange of firing was going on.
