Srinagar: Kashmiri girl Manar Mushtaq has brought laurels to the country by winning silver medal in the 2017 Macau Open Taekwondo Championship held on October 29 in Macau, China.
Girl, a class 4 student of Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School, Srinagar has been trained by her coach Ajaz Rasool Mir.
The girl has been actively participating in the sports activities organized by the school and state sports council. The participants were playing through Taekwondo federation of India.
The parents of the girl have hailed the efforts of the Sports Minister Imran Raza Ansari and Secretary Sports Council Waheed Parra and school authorities for taking keen interest in sports activities which have helped young students from schools compete at national and international level.
