Media interaction: SKUAST-K showcases growth, innovation, future vision

SRINAGAR: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) on Monday convened a major press conference during which Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, briefed the media on the University’s accelerated growth trajectory, landmark achievements, rising national rankings, and its visionary roadmap for the future.
The conference witnessed the presence of leading print and electronic media representatives from across the region besides University officers and heads of various departments.
The Vice-Chancellor outlined SKUAST-K’s remarkable transformation into an innovation-driven, technology-enabled, and outcome-oriented institution. He highlighted the University’s significant strides in research, academic excellence, start-up ecosystem development, and outreach initiatives—collectively placing SKUAST-K among the top-performing State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) in the country.
Following the briefing, journalists were taken on an exclusive campus tour, where they explored newly established and ongoing research and innovation ventures that reflect the University’s growing national stature.
A dynamic interaction session was also held, during which media representatives posed a range of queries regarding the University’s programmes, projects, and reforms. These were responded to with clarity, confidence, and pride by the University administration.
The Vice-Chancellor encouraged the media to remain in regular touch with the institution and invited constructive suggestions to further strengthen its academic and research ecosystem.
