Police organise two-day workshop on finance, accounting protocols

SRINAGAR: A two-day workshop on Finance, Precheck and Accounting Protocols was successfully organised by the RPHQ Central Kashmir Range Srinagar on October 29 and 30, 2025. The workshop was chaired by Shakeel Maqbool-ICAS, Internal Financial Advisor (IFA) J&K Home, who featured his resource team delivering in-depth instructions to participants. The workshop witnessed the active participation of all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) along with makers from different units of the Central Kashmir Range Sgr. Officers from the Integrated Finance Division, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), conducted detailed sessions focusing on various aspects of procurement, bill preparation and other finance-related issues.In this workshop, all the resource officers discussed financial matters in great depth and shed light on several key financial issues. Among them, Wing Commander Nirmal Kumar, AO IFA Home, SAO Haresh Ghie (PAO-I), Senior Accountant Ab Hamid, and Mr Younis Ahmed (Section Officer) delivered detailed discussions and lectures on various financial matters. The key issues discussed included bill processing, financial documentation, and other financial-related matters.An open discussion was also held, during which DDOs from different districts and units shared their specific concerns and experiences with the trainers. The interaction proved highly informative and provided practical clarity on several financial procedural matters. The programme concluded in a highly positive and interactive environment.
At the closing ceremony, Peer Zahoor Ahmad-JKPS, Staff Officer to DIG Central Kashmir Range (CKR), delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all officers and participants for their active involvement and valuable contributions.Among the dignitaries and participants were Mr Mohd Shafi (ADO, RPHQ(sgr) Mr Showkat Ahmed (Private Secretary to DIG CKR), Inspector Irfan Nazir, Mr Mushtaq Ahmad, AAO RPHQ CKR, Mr Junaid Imtiyaz Acctt. CKR Sgr, who also took part in the sessions.The training was widely appreciated for its relevance, practical insights and collaborative spirit aimed at enhancing financial management within the police establishment.
