SRINAGAR: In a significant action against fugitives evading the law, police in Ganderbal has traced and arrested two absconders who were evading arrest for last five years.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohd Saleem Sheikh son of Mohmad Ramzan Sheikh and Rehana Begum w/o Mohd Saleem Sheikh, both residents of Panzipora Sopore, involved in Case FIR No. 47/2021 U/S 420, 34, 201/IPC, police said in a statement.
The accused persons were apprehended by Police during a special operation and were produced today before the Court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Ganderbal for further legal proceedings.
Police reiterated its commitment to bring all absconders and offenders of law to justice and maintain peace, order, and accountability in the district.
