Srinagar: Suspected militants on Wednesday shot dead a Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu Kashmir Police in Gutroo village of Tral area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The slain SPO was identified as Haleem Gujjar of Tral son of Fateh Gujjar resident of Gutroo Tral.
He died on spot after being fired upon by suspected militants at his residence, a police official said.
The incident took place at 5:45pm in Gutroo in Aripal Tehsil.
Soon the after the incident Goverment forces launched the hunt to nab the assailants.
