SRINAGAR: Continuing his developmental outreach across the Lalchowk Constituency, Er. Aijaz Hussain, DDC Member and Co-Incharge Minority Morcha, UT of J&K, on Saturday inaugurated the macadamization work of Zuljanah Road in Balhama village.
Officials from the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department were present on the occasion and supervised the commencement of the much-awaited project. The work fulfills a long-pending public demand, as the road had remained neglected for nearly 15 years.
Speaking to the media, Er. Aijaz Hussain said that the government is committed to improving road connectivity and ensuring equitable development across all areas. “Infrastructure development remains our top priority. After years of delay, Zuljanah Road is finally being macadamized, and we are ensuring that no locality is left behind,” he stated.
He further informed that while macadamization has already been done in Khonmoh , Allochibagh , Wethpara and Sonwar, areas like Padshahibagh and Lasjan were unfortunately ignored in the previous phase. “I have personally taken up the matter with the R&B Department, and they have assured me that Padshahibagh and Lasjan will be macadamized in the coming days,” Er. Aijaz added.
The residents of Balhama village expressed heartfelt gratitude to Er. Aijaz Hussain for his efforts in resolving an issue pending for over a decade. They appreciated his proactive approach and continuous engagement with the administration to ensure visible change on the ground.
Er. Aijaz reiterated his commitment to the holistic development of Lalchowk Constituency, assuring that all pending civic works will be completed in a time-bound manner.
