HAJIN: Police Station Hajin on Thursday convened a meeting with Imams and religious leaders from different villages falling under its jurisdiction to discuss rising social issues.
The meeting was chaired by SHO Hajin, Qaiser Ahmad, who highlighted the growing menace of drugs and its harmful impact on the younger generation. He also urged the participants to play their role in curbing other social crimes such as gambling and domestic violence.
Speaking on the occasion, SHO Hajin stressed that religious leaders can act as torchbearers in spreading awareness among people. He sought their cooperation in guiding youth towards a positive and crime-free path.
The Imams and Molvis assured full support to the police in their efforts to eliminate social evils from society.
