Handwara police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) during a naka checking at Waripora Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Officials in Handwara police identified the arrested person as Mushtaq Ahmad Najar son of Gh. Ahmad Najar a resident of Brath Kalan Sopore.
The police in the statement said to have recovered arms & ammunitions from his possession including one pistol, one pistol magazine, eight pistol rounds and two grenades.
A case with FIR number 311/17 U/S 7/25 A Act has been registered in Handwara police station.
