Riyaz Naikoo, a top Hizb militant is believed to be trapped in Awantipora village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, source said on Monday, adding that the Cordon and Search operation has been launched in the village on this evening.
Sources said that the operation was launched at around 6pm in Beighpora area of Awantipora after inputs about the presence of militants there.
They said that the top Hizb militant, Riyaz Naikoo is beloved to trapped in the village.
The operation was going on when the report was last filed.
