Bandipora:The Jammu and Kashmir Association of Social Workers (JKASW), in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit, successfully conducted a two-day follow-up training program on 21st and 22nd May 2025 with teachers from across District Bandipora.
The training aimed to strengthen the grievance redressal mechanisms within schools and ensure safer, more responsive learning environments for children.
The first day of the training was inaugurated by Dr. Asima Hassan, District Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), who highlighted the critical role of educators in early identification and redressal of grievances. Ms. Kulsum Bhat, Project Manager at JKASW, facilitated interactive sessions focused on practical strategies for implementing child-friendly grievance redressal systems in schools.
The second day featured a special session led by Mr. Rasik Ramzan, esteemed Member of the Board of Juvenile Justice, who engaged participants through real-life case discussions and emphasized the importance of impartiality and timely action in grievance handling.
The training witnessed enthusiastic participation from 100 teachers representing different schools across the district. Participants engaged in group activities, and collaborative planning sessions designed to promote coordination between schools, civil society, and the child protection system.
The program concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to ensure safe, inclusive, and supportive school environments for every child in Bandipora.
