Police on Thursday recovered the body of a middle-aged woman from Jhelum river in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The deceased identified as Rubeena Akhtar (45), wife of Bilal Ahmad Bhat of Nawa Kadal Srinagar was recovered from the river in Kharbagh Batwina in Wakura tehsil of the district, an official said.
The body has been kept at Police Station Shadipora Ganderbal.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
