A Jammu and Kashmir Police cop was shot at by militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
According to the reports, an assistant sub-inspector was at by unknown militants at Mehnadi Kadal area of Anantnag.
Sources said that he was hit in the abdomen and was rushed to the hospital for the treatment. However, his condition is said to be critical. Forces have launched a search operation in the area to nab the attackers.
The policeman has been identified as ASI Ab Rasheed.
