In a tragic incident, a 45-year-old lineman of Power Development Department (PDD) died when he fell from an electric pole while repairing a transmission line at Achabal in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.
According Police official, lineman Mohd. Yousuf Mir son of Mohammad Abdullah Mir resident of Achabal, Anantnag was performing his duties, when he fell down from the pole and came dashing on the ground.
He was immediately shifted to district hospital Anantnag, where he was declared brought dead by doctors, a Police official said.
