Ministerial Federation highlights anxiety among candidates, calls for accountability after eight-month wait

SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir All Departmental Clerical Staff Association (JKADCSA), also known as the Ministerial Federation, has expressed serious concern and deep disappointment regarding the prolonged delay in announcing the results of the SATC departmental examination. Conducted more than eight months ago, the results remain undecided, leaving candidates in a state of uncertainty without any official justification or status update.
“This prolonged delay has given rise to widespread anxiety and dissatisfaction among the in-service candidates who undertook the examination with sincerity and hope,” said Jeelani Naik, President of JKADCSA. He said that for many, SATC qualification is not merely a formality but a statutory requirement for promotional eligibility in their services. “Their careers have effectively been put on hold due to this long delay,” Naik added.
Despite candidates fulfilling their responsibilities by diligently preparing for and appearing in the examination, the Ministerial Federation believes the system has failed to offer them timely results. “The silence surrounding this issue is unacceptable, especially when it is impacting service progression, morale, and administrative efficiency in various departments,” Naik said.
The Federation said it is disheartening that even in an era touted for digital governance and administrative reforms, critical processes are subject to unexplained and extended delays. “Accountability and timeliness are hallmarks of a responsive system, and the absence of both has led to growing frustration among our members,” Naik asserted.
In its press release, the JKADCSA made a collective appeal to the Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission and the Principal Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department. “We urge them to treat this matter with the priority it deserves and to publish the pending SATC results without further delay. The rights and futures of hundreds of government employees should no longer be subjected to systemic silence,” Naik concluded.
