BARAMULLA: In a continued effort to curb illegal activities, police in Baramulla have arrested two gamblers and seized stake money from their possession.
Based on credible information about gambling activities, Police Party of Police Post Delina headed by DO Delina raided at Delina Ghat, leading to the arrest of two gamblers identified as Khazir Mohd Ganie son of Gh Mohd resident of Jahama Baramulla and Mushtaq Ahmed Wani son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Rangwar Baramulla.
During the operation, stake money amounting to Rs 10,300/- and playing cards were seized from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 52/2025 Under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation is set into motion.
Police said they remain committed to maintaining law and order and urges the public to report any illegal activities to help keep the district crime free.
