Srinagar: Police in Bandipora along with security forces have arrested two militant associates from Hajin area of Bandipora and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession, a police spokesperson said.
“Police in Bandipora along with Army (13 RR) and CRPF (45 Bn) at a checkpoint established at Gandbal-Hajin Road, arrested two terrorist associates,” he said.
They have been identified as Naseer Ahmad Parray son of Bashir Ahmad Parray resident of Kathpura Hajin and Mudasir Ahmad Parray son of Mohd Ramzan Parray resident of Gandbal Hajin.
“During search, arms ammunition including 02 Chinese grenades, 18 live rounds of AK-47, 01 AK-47 magazine, 01 pistol, 08 pistol rounds, 01 pistol magazine and 02 mobile phones,” police said, adding, “Regarding the incident, a Case vide FIR NO. 20/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in PS Hajin and investigation has been initiated.”
