Srinagar: The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, earlier today and discussed various issues relating to the forthcoming Budget Session of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The Budget Session, 2025 of the Assembly will commence on Monday the 3rd March, 2025.
Lieutenant Governor will address the J&K Assembly in Jammu at 10 am on March 3, 2025, the inaugural day of the budget session.
LA Secretary, in a notice, addressed to MLAs said that the LG’s address, being the most solemn and formal act, should be listened to with attention and respect besides maintaining utmost dignity, decency, and decorum.
“As such, the Members of the Legislative Assembly are requested to take their seats 5 minutes before the arrival of the LG in the Central Hall of the Legislative Assembly and remain in their seats till the LG leaves the Legislative Assembly Hall after the conclusion of the address,” the notice read. “The national anthem will be played by the band when the LG reaches the dais and also after the conclusion of the address.”
As per the provisional calendar, the 40-day long session will also have a recess period of 12 days from March 26 to April 6. The maiden budget session of J&K will conclude on April 11.
