Hosts Citizens Of Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram
Jammu: Jammu Kashmir Raj Bhawan today hosted the citizens of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram.
The gathering observed the significance of the foundation day of the two states which was celebrated on 20th February.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage to great leaders and valiant freedom fighters from Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram.
“Such occasions provide us an opportunity to remember that we need to discharge our duties towards the society and the country with complete dedication. I have no doubt that each one of you will act responsibly for progress and prosperity of this great nation.
It has been my wish that growth and prosperity reaches every individual and every household of the country and no one should be left behind as the nation moves forward. Our integrated efforts should aim to improve the economic status and empowerment of every section of society”, the Lieutenant Governor said.
The Lieutenant Governor also spoke on the development journey of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
He conveyed his best wishes to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram and prayed for the rapid development of the two states.
Meanwhile, Nazir Ahmed Khan, Chairman, District Development Council Budgam called on Lieutenant Governor.
He submitted a memorandum of demands to the Lieutenant Governor pertaining to various issues of public importance including extension of Power Amnesty scheme, uninterrupted power supply during the holy month of Ramzan, upgradation of Hospital building at Soibug Budgam, establishment of Mini Secretariat in Budgam, etc.
The Lieutenant Governor assured Sh Nazir Ahmed that appropriate action will be taken to address the genuine issues projected by him.
Also, Mohammad Iqbal Ahangar, Chairman, OBC Welfare Association J&K UT called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, today.
He apprised the Lieutenant Governor of various development issues of Dooru and Verinag including establishment of Maternity and Child Care Hospital Dooru and upgradation of PHC Verinag.
A delegation of Shopkeepers of multi-tier parking General Bus Stand Jammu led by its President Sh Vishal Mahajan also called on the Lieutenant Governor.
