HANDWARA: As part of the Civic Action Programme 2024-25, Police in Handwara inaugurated a T20 knockout cricket tournament at Bakiahaker Cricket Ground.
“The event was inaugurated by the wife of Martyr Ct Mohd Rafiq Bhat, alongside SSP Handwara Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhary-JKPS, DySP DAR, SDPO Handwara, and other senior officers,” police said in a statement.
During interaction with the players, SSP Handwara highlighted the J&K Police’s commitment to promoting sports. He emphasized that such initiatives channel positive energy among the youth, foster a competitive spirit, and contribute to good health, steering individuals away from negative influences. He also assured continued support for similar events in the future.
