Clashes have erupted between youth and government forces in old town area of Anantnag district of south Kashmir soon after the funeral prayers of slain militant.
As per sources,clashes erupted at Lal Chowk, Malakhnag, Chinni Chowk, Reshi Bazaar, Sherpora, Janglat Mandi and other areas of town.
Youth protested against the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Yawer Nissar and civilian Gh Mohi-ud-din Bhat, in response forces fired tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.
Clashes were going on when reports last came in.
