SRINAGAR: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centre in Srinagar is set to conduct viva-voce examinations for various programs, including MAPC, MCA, MSCIS, PGDET, PGDLAN, BAPCH, BCA, MAAN, MAEDU, BLIS, MLIS, and MSCDFSM, from January 28 to February 7, 2025. The sessions will take place at the Regional Centre located in Saida Kadal.
Students who submitted their projects for the term-end examinations in December 2025 are urged to check their names on the regional centre’s official website at rcsrinagar.ignou.ac.in. They must ensure to report to the venue on the designated date and time as per their schedule.
Dr. A. H. Rizvi, Regional Director of IGNOU Srinagar, emphasized that the viva-voce serves as an important platform for students to showcase their hard work and enhances their communication skills, including presentation, articulation, and project defense. He noted that participation in the viva is a mandatory requirement for fulfilling degree completion criteria, and students must pass this assessment to graduate successfully.
Dr. Rizvi also pointed out that a well-executed project presentation significantly boosts students’ employability prospects by demonstrating their expertise to potential employers. To facilitate this, he advised BCA and MCA students to bring their laptops for demonstrating their project work during the viva sessions.
As the viva-voce approaches, students are encouraged to prepare thoroughly and utilize this opportunity to highlight their academic achievements and practical skills.
